OVAL SISTEM’s first solo Seoul concerts: Aiko Sumida, the announced line-up and archived schedule

This article preserves the concert and fan-event announcement as published at the time. It is not current ticket-booking information.
The Trot Girls Japan vocalist fronts two performances at Seoul’s Azito Live Hall
OVAL SISTEM, the Japanese project group fronted by Trot Girls Japan vocalist Aiko Sumida, is to hold its first solo concerts in Korea.
On January 31, the group will present 2026 OVAL SISTEM COMPACT LIVE SERIES [orbit CLUB] in SEOUL at Azito Live Hall in Seoul’s Seodaemun district, meeting Korean fans through a standalone concert for the first time. The scheduled start times are 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., for two performances.
The significance is that these are its first standalone Korean shows. A group developed mainly through Japanese activities will meet Korean fans directly through its own live programme. Coming as its musical identity has become clearer following Sumida’s arrival, the concerts offer an opportunity to hear its present direction.
A live structure built around Aiko Sumida
OVAL SISTEM is a project group whose production has involved leading Japanese producer Tetsuya Komuro. Its approach combines pop, rock and electronic elements flexibly rather than remaining within one genre, with live performance among its strengths.
At its centre is lead vocalist Aiko Sumida, who attracted attention through Trot Girls Japan. Her consistent singing and live delivery earned an audience during the programme, and she now leads the group’s vocal direction.
Combining a Japanese trot background with contemporary band sounds, the music has gained depth around her voice. Clear emotional delivery and arrangements designed for live performance are central to its onstage identity.
Guitar, keyboards and rap: three distinct roles
The originally announced Seoul line-up paired Sumida with keyboardist and rapper mochiluca and guitarist iBerry.
Handling both keyboards and rap, mochiluca adds rhythm and colour. The role introduces variation into melody-led material and helps regulate the pace and flow of the show.
iBerry supports the band’s foundation while expanding its stage beyond an idol-performance format into a music-led concert. Clearly defined roles allow a small line-up to produce a concentrated live sound.
Two shows, with fan interaction afterward
The concerts are planned as a special two-part programme. Each performance is intended to convey the group’s character and energy through a flowing setlist rather than a simple sequence of songs.
Azito Live Hall brings the stage close to the audience, allowing a direct experience of the sound and performance. Choosing an intimate live hall rather than a large auditorium also reads as a statement of the group’s emphasis on live music.
After the concerts, members will participate in merchandise sales and fan interaction. Designed as more than an extra activity, the session aims to continue the atmosphere and provide direct communication. According to a representative, it will allow natural conversation suited to the room rather than stop at a formal autograph format.

What the first solo Seoul stage means
For a group working mainly in Japan, meeting Korean fans through a standalone concert marks a turning point. With its direction becoming clearer since Sumida joined, the show should reveal OVAL SISTEM’s present identity.
A representative called Seoul “an important starting point for OVAL SISTEM as well,” adding that, for this first solo encounter with Korean fans, the group was preparing a stage intended to convey sincerity in both music and performance.
A group making its case live
Within the project-group format, OVAL SISTEM places live quality first. Beyond recordings and video, its intention is to establish an identity through the sound and interplay onstage, an approach expected to carry into Seoul.
With Aiko Sumida at its centre, the group is taking another step. Its first standalone Seoul concerts promise an opportunity to assess its direction and possibilities beyond the fact of an overseas appearance.
Attention turns to January 31 and OVAL SISTEM’s first solo Korean stage at Azito Live Hall.
