KANO MIYU’s Hadashi no Kisetsu: A Debut Song Reaches Another Generation

“Hadashi no Kisetsu,” performed by KANO MIYU in episode9, was Seiko Matsuda’s debut single. Released on April 1, 1980, it reaches a Korean programme in2026 through another singer. Behind its identity as an older hit, the time of someone falling in love opens in the present.
ENA’s official clip dates the broadcast to February 27, 2026; the programme channel also offers a full performance. One singer’s first release becomes another’s repertoire decades later. A cover inherits a debut date and a song’s excitement in different ways.

Small expressions of excitement
Invitations to a film and the image of dimples create an intimacy smaller than a grand declaration. Wanting to be together does not make every feeling immediately speakable. The title’s season can suggest both a calendar period and a time of becoming unfamiliar to oneself through a new emotion.
Brightness alone cannot explain this character. Excitement accompanies shyness. Wanting to go to a film together sits close to feeling shy about being found out. The present voice carries both feelings.
A first release encountered in a new voice
Someone familiar with the original may recall Matsuda’s image; someone discovering the cover may meet it without knowing its age. One stage supplies different starting points. Neither needs to be declared the more correct experience.
The original’s fame does not replace the current performance. Listeners can return to the original afterwards or bring its memory to Miyu’s full rendition. A cover becomes a small passage that keeps a song from belonging only to the past.
