sis and KANO MIYU at the Korea–Japan Super Concert: names connecting languages
DATE2025.11.26VENUEOsaka · Grand Cube Osaka, Main HallFORMATHanil Super Concert broadcast review

The date of a concert differs from the day it is encountered again on television. Sis/T’s official announcement records THE HARMONY 60th at Grand Cube Osaka’s Main Hall on November 26, 2025. On December 31 that year, episode 2 of TV CHOSUN’s Korea–Japan Super Concert preserved two sis songs and a joint number by the trot all-stars in broadcast videos.

The titles are “Love Battery,” “Doorbell of Love” and “Come Back to Busan Port.” Group repertoire released in Japan shares a broadcast with titles familiar in Korean. Following the actual song names and release process gives a concrete way into sis, including KANO MIYU, before turning to a broad claim of cultural exchange.

The venue’s date and the screen’s date

The group’s official concert announcement specifies the Osaka venue, date and performers, listing Korean and Japanese guests together. TV CHOSUN’s broadcast record separately points to the second episode on December 31. Keeping both dates makes it possible to remember the stage without conflating the concert and its television presentation.

This time difference is part of encountering a concert through music television. For someone who attended, the image is a return; for someone discovering it on television, it is a first meeting. Identical footage can have different routes of arrival. The recorded dates preserve that distinction.

The work of making two versions

Sis released its debut song “Love Battery” in Japanese and Korean versions. Nippon Columbia officially announced Hyadain as producer and identified KANO MIYU, MAKOTO., Rihoko Tara and Asahi Ai as the four members. Singing a song in two languages belonged to the group’s release structure from the beginning.

The official introduction to the subsequent Ding Dong Kudasai release also credits Hyadain’s Japanese adaptation and production. The Korean broadcast title, “Doorbell of Love,” and the Japanese record title create different entrances to the song. When a song changes languages, the work of choosing new words and making a record travels alongside its performers.

This concrete process gives musical exchange between Korea and Japan several stages beyond a vague convergence of feelings. A title is adapted, singable words are made, a recording is produced, and another broadcast introduces it. Listening can preserve these several routes towards a song, alongside questions about which language sounds more natural.

Busan Port beside the group songs

The official broadcast video presents “Come Back to Busan Port” as a trot all-star performance in Korean and Japanese versions. A song credited to a larger performing unit stands beside the two sis numbers. One episode contains both a group presenting shared repertoire and several singers sharing a single title.

Remembering the titles together multiplies the routes back into the broadcast. A search beginning with Miyu can lead towards the group’s records, while the joint number can lead towards another singer. At this point, a single programme becomes several records of songs and performers.

The Osaka date, releases in different languages and three broadcast titles form a route: from sis records to a joint song, and on to another performer’s repertoire. Following the connection offers another encounter with the same songs introduced in different settings.
