October 26, 2025: a voice over Avispa Fukuoka’s stadium

Best Denki Stadium near Hakata in Fukuoka carried an unusual anticipation on October 26, 2025. Before the J.League home match, a stage speaking a different language from football was being prepared beside the pitch. KANO MIYU appeared as an officially invited artist, performing live in a symbolic collaboration with Avispa Fukuoka.

This was more than a halftime diversion or a one-off appearance. Miyu was appointed an official Avispa Fukuoka DAO ambassador, a community-oriented role, marking an intention for club and artist to build a longer-term relationship. Football and music, sport and fan communities intersected on one platform.

The pre-match event stage: an opening through music

Before the official appointment and main stage, an event stage was set up outside the stadium. Along the spectators’ natural route, Miyu gave a compact mini live set. Football fans, families and people who stopped for the music shared the space, yet the performance’s concentration became all the clearer.

She selected “DO IT NOW !” and “Terminal.” Both have relatively direct messages, making them effective vehicles for conveying her identity and command in a short time. Korean lyrics entered naturally toward the end of “Terminal,” a choice that can be interpreted as acknowledging the audience’s different nationalities.

The outdoor sound conditions were not perfect, but the songs’ flow and vocal communication remained steady. Even within the limited event-stage format, it functioned as a complete live performance rather than simply promotion.

Music moves inside the stadium

A second performance on the main stage

After the event-stage set, spectators moved inside for the match. Miyu’s second appearance took place on a special stage behind the goal. Unlike a conventional concert, a considerable physical distance separated performer and audience. Yet that gap made the performance register as a distinct scene: the stage emerged as a focal point in the vast stadium, with music crossing the space toward the stands.

Inside the stadium, Miyu performed “Over Drive” and “Ai no Battery” in shortened versions. Alongside the main business of football, the set was brief but clear. “Over Drive” foregrounded energy and speed, followed by one of her group sis’s signature songs, “Ai no Battery.” The sequence was enough to establish her colors within a short time.

The scene as the performance began was particularly memorable. The sky had remained relatively settled, but light rain began just as Miyu appeared and started singing. It recalled the fans’ joking nickname ame-onna, a woman said to bring rain. More intriguingly, the rain eased immediately after she finished both songs and left, as if on cue. The timing felt uncannily precise, naturally prompting laughter and conversation.

Even in the unusual setting of a large stadium, her stage manner remained assured. She concentrated on communicating rhythm and meaning rather than exaggerated gestures or demanding choreography. It seemed the result of understanding and experience of performing within a sporting event. Her ability to retain a center where attention could easily disperse was striking.

A brief running time, limited conditions and unexpected weather all imposed constraints. Yet Miyu’s stadium appearance brought them into one memory. Like the passing rain, the performance was not long, but it left a definite trace.

The significance of an official appointment

Appearing as a partner beyond an invited singer

The day’s central point was not only the singing but Miyu’s appointment as an official Avispa Fukuoka DAO ambassador. She was given a role in helping shape the club’s brand and community, beyond that of an event artist lifting the pre-match atmosphere.

Fan-participation communities, digital communication and connections with cultural content have become increasingly important in Japanese sport. Within that movement, official appointments of musicians as community symbols remain relatively uncommon. The choice therefore offered a clear indication of Avispa Fukuoka’s direction.

Miyu fulfilled the role through more than being a public face: she stood at the event, engaged with spectators and experienced the stadium’s atmosphere directly.

A final scene like a chance reunion

The stadium did not empty easily after the official program. Spectators stayed for the match despite the rain, and unplanned moments emerged around the ground. Miyu entered their field of view once again, leaving the impression of an unscheduled third encounter.

Seen from a completely different position and angle from the official stages, that brief moment helped bind the day into one story. The chance encounters created by a large stadium and the renewed connections of sight within it gave the memory additional depth.

The stadium afterglow, and the returning “goddess of victory” joke

Avispa Fukuoka’s October 26, 2025 home match may be remembered as a scene before it is remembered as a result. Music entered the stadium, and the artist became someone who helped create the atmosphere rather than a passing guest. The comparatively understated way it all unfolded made it more memorable.

Miyu’s performance did not disrupt the football, and Avispa’s brand expanded naturally through music. Sport and music stood alongside each other while respecting their own spaces. That quiet balance may have been the day’s most distinctive quality.

One additional scene deserves mention: the match’s ending. It appeared headed for a 0–0 draw, but a penalty was awarded with barely a minute remaining, and Avispa Fukuoka took its opportunity. The dramatic winner made it 1–0, filling the stadium with a brief, powerful roar.

It was not the first time the team had won on a day Miyu visited. Fans’ joking description of her as a goddess of victory joined the memory once again. Her presence cannot explain the result, of course. But with match, performance and victory forming one continuous day, the nickname naturally resurfaced.

Music and sport in Fukuoka moved at their own speeds while arriving at a shared ending that day. At its center remained the quiet afterglow of KANO MIYU, still present in the stadium’s atmosphere after she had left the stage.
