sis Takes the Budokan Stage at Momoiro Uta Gassen

A year-end opening appearance at Momoiro Uta Gassen
Trot unit sis (SIS/T) appeared at the year-end countdown live Momoiro Uta Gassen on December 31, 2024, at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo’s Chiyoda ward, marking a meaningful stage.
It was especially significant as the largest venue the group had experienced. Nippon Budokan holds approximately 14,501 seats and is an iconic stage in Japanese popular-music history. Joining the opening lineup at a venue used by many leading artists marked an important milestone in expanding the group’s Japanese activities.
The major year-end live Momoiro Uta Gassen
Momoiro Uta Gassen is a year-end countdown live hosted by popular group Momoiro Clover Z. Held annually on December 31 at Nippon Budokan, it gathers idols, singers and artists across genres to close the year with music, becoming a symbolic year-end event for Japanese music fans.

sis appeared before the main show as an opening act. A first stage at the Budokan, with tens of thousands gathered, combined nervousness and excitement for the group.
A vivid first impression through “Love’s Battery”
They performed their signature “Love’s Battery.” Its Korean-trot foundation, buoyant rhythm and direct melody felt relatively accessible to Japanese listeners and energized the year-end atmosphere.
Though brief, stable live singing and bright energy showed focus on a large stage and captured attention. Trot resounding in the symbolic Budokan remained a scene suggesting another possibility for Korea–Japan musical exchange.

A message leading toward a solo concert
Near the end, alongside a short greeting, they promoted sis’s solo live scheduled for March 2, 2025. The members introduced it directly in Japanese, adding their hope of meeting more people again.
Announcing a solo concert from a major year-end stage showed Japanese activities continuing into sustained expansion rather than a one-off appearance.

What the Budokan stage meant
The appearance went beyond participation to confirm a presence in Japan’s music market. A group active mainly in small lives, clubs and in-store stages standing at the Budokan signaled a new stage in its range.
The year-end appearance became both a closing of the year and a performance to remember as a fresh starting point toward 2025.
