KANO MIYU Receives Cultural Contribution Grand Prize at Asia Influencer Festival
A presence onstage and at the awards, embodying Asian cultural exchange
The 2025 Asia Influencer Festival took place at World K-Pop Center’s Glass Hall in Jung-gu, Seoul, on 29 August. Influencers from six Asian countries gathered for exchange and collaboration across fashion, beauty, tourism, IT and healthcare, attracting attention as an international networking occasion.
Seoul as a Cultural Meeting Point
With roughly ten years of history, the festival has been planned and operated by Narest Entertainment, also associated with Wanghong Super Challenge and Super Influencer Awards. The Korea Influencer Association, Global K-Culture Association and YMSTAR co-hosted, with Follow Me E&M overseeing it and numerous companies and institutions cooperating or sponsoring.
Beyond a festival, it reaffirmed Korea’s role as a hub for Asian exchange. On entering, the energy of international participants and careful staff preparations combined to heighten anticipation.
Asian Sensibilities Meet Onstage
The varied performances included lively appearances by Jeon Kyung-ho and Moena, classical vocalist Kim Jung-a’s resonant singing, and polished performances by Roma and Roo. Music and fashion met as cultures from across Asia found a shared stage.
Japanese actor and singer KANO MIYU was a highlight, conveying a strong presence and warm emotion to fans and influencers. She sang two songs: an energetic “OVER DRIVE,” followed by “Password 486,” prepared in Korean with particular meaning for fans.
Dance and powerful vocals raised the energy in “OVER DRIVE,” while nuanced feeling and concentration engaged the audience in “Password 486.” Applause and cheers throughout both songs created an exchange between fans and influencers.
A Special Grand Prize and Acceptance Remarks
Miyu was also prominent at the ceremony, receiving the Special Grand Prize for Cultural Contribution for her role in Korea–Japan exchange and Asian cultural development.
She spoke candidly about her activities, growth and ambitions: “I’ve been active in music in Korea since I was young, and a Korean music program changed my life greatly. I’m truly grateful to have an experience beyond a show here in Korea itself. I want to keep making good things in Korea and Japan, become an artist who can perform on big stages in Korea too, and meet you again. Please support me. Thank you.” The remarks conveyed gratitude to fans and fellow influencers.
Warm applause and cheers answered her candid words, sharing a symbolic moment of cultural exchange beyond Korea and Japan.
An Occasion for Asian Influencers to Connect
Many season-six Super Influencer Awards candidates attended ahead of a September exchange in Osaka. They gained experience, shared ambitions for further work in Asia and widened networking and cooperation opportunities.
An organizer called it “an opportunity for influencers across Asia to share cultures and content around Korea and develop new collaborations and projects,” adding that “KANO MIYU and other artists made the exchange richer.”
Cultural and Industry Connections
More than performances and prizes, the event connected culture, fashion, beauty, IT and healthcare as a platform for expanding influencers’ reach. Across the program, fans and audiences experienced connections between culture and art, reinforcing Korea’s role as a meeting point.
Varied experiences and networking for participants and spectators offered a glimpse of active movement toward the future of Asian cultural exchange.
